I also presume these are all backwards compatible with older WIFI as some of my wifi devices will only connect to 2.4ghz and my wifi uses WPA2 at the moment.  I have a old WeMo insight smartplug, that I believe uses wireless n? and another devices is only compatible with IEEE 802.11b/g/n
