The 160 MHz allows you to send and receive data at a faster level, but if you only have an 80/20 Mbps internet connection, then this is where the bottleneck will be (Internet)
160 MHz is not widely supported by many devices and I do tend to leave mine turned OFF as this then means one less potential problem.
