We did notice after some testing that harder O-rings are noisier than softer O-rings and does feel slightly less bouncy when button is fully depressed ?
Not a perfect solution, but noise is greatly reduced when gaming and more so when homework is being done etc.
Ebay is a great place to find your O-rings, costs around ÂŁ2 for 120 O-rings
