Fritz is announcing the Fritzbox 6690 Pro, Fritzbox 6825 4G and the Fritz WLAN stick 6700 at the IFA trade fair.

Fritz (formerly AVM) is preparing to launch two more Fritzboxes and a Wi-Fi stick. The Fritz 6700 Wi-Fi stick is Fritz’s first wireless stick for USB-A connections since the AC 430 model from 2017 (starting from 28,99 €). The manufacturer is skipping Wi-Fi 6 and 6E: the 6700 stick supports Wi-Fi 7 in the 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz and 6 GHz bands, each with two MIMO streams. Fritz promises gross data rates of 2.88 Gbit/s each over the latter two bands. The stick is therefore not capable of operating with 320 MHz wide radio signals in the 6 GHz band. Fritz does not reveal whether it supports the Wi-Fi 7 function Multi-Link Operation (MLO), which is useful for more stable connections.

No prices for now

As usual, Fritz is not commenting on the prices and availability dates of the new devices. Traditionally, delivery dates can be several months in the future.
