I did read online that AVM owners had thought AVM has started to update their various routers  / modems less often and wondered if this had anything to do with possible AVM business changes etc.

Have you noticed this ?

No, I dont think so.
7.90 Inhaus (alpha like FWs) are available for many models like in the past. Labor-FW (beta) may be seen soon in the next months.

And problems with Huawei patents are solved too now.
