As hoped, Apple has released a software update for iPhone aimed at fixing some of the problems associated with iOS 18.
Apple said it will correct things like unresponsive touchscreens on the iPhone 16, freezing cameras when recording certain types of video, and issues with messages and general performance.
This is good news as I updated my iPhone over the weekend to iOS 18 and noticed the non responsive screen and Safari not behaving as it should.

October 4, 2024 at 9:21 pm #34260So far loving iOS 18 I am , lots of new features and seems to be even quicker than previous version I was running on my iPhone.
Still having issues with Safari keep logging me out of various web sites, must be a setting I missed.

October 6, 2024 at 11:27 am #34297Beta tested iOS 18 back in June.Think on Beta 3 – a bug appeared on the phone concerning a shortcut i ceated.
The Shortcut picks a random picture and then makes it the wallpaper on device then locks the screen.
A automation runs when certain apps are closed that then runs the shortcut.
Exactly same shortcut is working 100% flawlessly on iOS 17.
Shortcut bug is still present in ipadOS 18.0.1 and iOS 18.1 for me
Both devices been wiped and reinstalled
So on my daily device – IOS 17 still present
Maybe ios 18.1 beta 6 fixes the issue for me thats been present since July i think
Just wondering if anyone else has come across this issue ……

October 6, 2024 at 1:20 pm #34298Must say, have not noticed any shortcut bugs with my iPhone using iOS 18.0.1, alas don’t use an iPAD but have read several comments online that seem to suggest problem remains along with CarPlay for iOS.

October 10, 2024 at 7:08 pm #34416Update to my post i wrote earlier ……….
Apparently Apple has identified the shortcut bug currently in IOS 18.0.1 and 18.1 Beta 6 – few 100 people brought it to Apples attention thankfully.
Apparently Apple has said that…………..
“Potential fix identified – For a future iOS update”.
Hopefully sooner than later ………
