ASUS Product Security Advisory
A security vulnerability has been identified in certain ASUS DSL Series Router.
ASUS recommends update to the latest firmware to ensure your device remains protected.
We have released a new firmware version 1.1.2.3_1010 which addresses this vulnerability for the models listed above.
Update Firmware
- Download and install the latest firmware version 1.1.2.3_1010 for your device from the ASUS support page or your product page at ASUS Networking.
For End-of-Life (EOL) Models (Unsupported by New Firmware)
- Please ensure that both your router login and WiFi passwords are strong and unique.
- Disable any services accessible from the internet, including:
1. Â Â Remote access from WAN2. Â Â Port forwarding3. Â Â DDNS4. Â Â VPN server5. Â Â DMZ6. Â Â Port triggering7. Â Â FTPGeneral Security Tips
Use different, complex passwords for your wireless network and router administration page (atleast 10 characters, include uppercase, numbers and symbols).
Do not reuse passwords across devices or services.
