So for the last two morning since the server migration, the UKTechHub website has been offline in the morning for an hour or so.
Currently in communication with Hosting company to try to resolve issue

August 31, 2024 at 1:38 pm #33585If helps, error I got was database connection error but I didn’t copy the exact text.
Is the DB on a separate box or the same? Is there any scheduled maintenance i.e. backup that’s been incorrectly configured or taking a long time to run as that can lock the DB until finished?

August 31, 2024 at 6:06 pm #33586Thanks, the messages I received was ‘Error establishing a database connection’.
Its a WordPress related dB, alas only plugin I installed since migration was LSCache which is a caching plugin.
I have set the Cache options for tonight to minimal to see if issue occurs again in the morning, if it does then I will have to disable LSCache and see if this is the root cause.
Issue is causing CPU’s to max out which then causes server to fail.

September 1, 2024 at 1:30 pm #33597Alas I noticed around 13:00 today access to the Forum was lost for around 10 minutes, CPU and RAM usage only reached 50%, so a little odd.
I have disabled the cache plugin for now, to check if same issue happens tomorrow and apologies is website page load speed increases whilst cache is disabled.

September 2, 2024 at 6:39 am #33603September 2, 2024 at 8:11 pm #33611No issues with server performance today, so does seem as though the Caching option was causing the server to fail.

The exlamation mark of unseen posts doesn’t disappear after I see it and go back to “topic freshness” and reload the page.
Only after some minutes it will disappear. You need to login in order to vote
September 18, 2024 at 3:35 pm #34043Thanks for letting me know and I will have a look at problem
I did change a couple of the page caching options yesterday, so hopefully issue is that.
