We have just purchased a new Shark Carpetxpert EX150UK, must say looks very American when you compare to say the VAX range of carpet cleaners which tend to look more modern/slicker, but Shark does have a great reputation for reliability, performance and functionality.

From what I understand, the Shark Carpetxpert EX150UK was introduced to the UK early last year (2024) and we purchased it to replace our ageing Bissell carpet cleaner which had served us well for over 10 years, the Shark Carpetxpert EX150UK cleaned very well and both the tools and ease of use made using the shark cleaner a minimal effort task.
Some of the great features of the Shark carpet cleaner is the length of the power cord which is 7.6 m (approximately 24.9 ft), the removing of the dirty water tank and cleaning the tank was very simple (not suitable for dishwasher).
The Shark Carpetxpert EX150UK probable like other higher end carpet cleaners has the dual option to both wash the carpet and dry at the same time as well as just setting the cleaner to dry mode to better enable the carpet to be dried quicker.
We also used the shark carpetxpert hose cleaning tool and again this worked well, the add on hose cleaning cap tool and 3.5″ Reversible Bristle Tool performed very well cleaning small areas like the staircase carpet and spot cleaning didn’t leave the carpet sodden.
