September 14, 2022 at 6:17 am #20850So iOS 16 appeared on my iPhone 11 pro yesterday as well as an update iOS 15.7 which is more about bug and security updates etc.
Will give it a few days before I update to iOS 16, just incase I read anything online that gives me something to worry about

December 15, 2022 at 11:20 am #22010Major security upgrade with iOS 16.2, EU/UK should see this new security feature 2023.
Advanced Data Protection for iPhone, iPadOS and macOS Ventura 13.1.
Appearing in the new iOS 16.2 update, a new setting enables end-to-end encryption for more types of iCloud data, meaning that only you are able to access them.
How to enable Advanced Data Protection on iPhone, To begin with, you need iOS 16.2 or later installed on your iPhone, or iPadOS 16.2 or macOS Ventura 13.1 if you want to enable it for an iPad or Mac.
Also, at the time of writing, only U.S. users can turn on Advanced Data Protection, even if the option appears in your Settings app. More countries will have the feature made available to them in 2023, but for now, you may not be able to use it because of where you live.
