Not tried this on the Vivobook but if you got the Black Screen after BIOS Update??
- Remove the battery (some models may not remove the battery) and the AC adapter.
- Press and hold the Power button for 40 seconds.
- Re-install the battery (for removable battery models) and connect the AC adapter, then try to restart your laptop.
If not this, does the ASUS still have its ASUS recovery partition ?
