So visited our Local Wickes and Buildbase today and have decided to opt for the Wickes wooden fence posts, they seemed to be made more uniform, less knots and chunks missing out of the edges and finish was smoother (uniform) which is good if posts not only need to be strong, but look good also.

Both Wickes and Buildbase fence post felt the same weight but the Buildbase incised only seemed to be intermittent on posts and not on all four surfaces, on some of the posts I looked at .
