I understand what you are saying, iOS (Apple) tend to find faults and then fix them before telling the world (public), Google is the opposite (generally).

For Government, Defence sectors etc, this is different I believe…

Apple and Google faults can be found via cvedetails.com / NIST etc, Google (Android) is much more OPEN about its faults / vulnerabilities than Apple (iOS).

FYI; UK, like EU / US has asked all its Government employees to remove TikTok app from Government devices, but not UK Citizens, so lots of risk assessments / testing going on behind the screens with Android / Apple / GCHQ / NCSC  and our FVEY allies etc.
