Hi,

So got one, have put it all together, didn’t get the paid card, just went for standard pi and nvme drive.

Setup homeassistant on it, however, project has hit a bit of a snag….

So the pi has LAN port and also wifi and I checked and could see from ppl online that you can have lan and wifi active at same time so thought great. However, seems not in my scenario.

I have main network and guest wifi but seems the pi wont see guest wifi devices despite the wifi connecting to it ok.

As most of my devices are on guest network, its unable to detect/reach them. I’ve tried using it just on wifi (to fool it) but i cant access homeassistant at all over wifi so spanner in the works… bit of an expensive disaster tbh. It seems it wont work on guest wifi’s, has to be normal wifi. so only option i have is to allow guest network to see main network which bit reluctant to doo.

Only other option I can see is to change router for one with vlans and then maybe i can put lan into guest network?

Kev
