So ASUS have comeback and said they are looking at why MLO cannot be used for the 2nd AiMesh node connecting to 1st Node and this is a known limitation to them.

Reading between the lines, seems as though ASUS may have a few more discussions with Chipset (BCM)  manufacturer planned.
