Welcome, Are you looking for a modem router combo or just a Router ?
For a Router only choice, the ASUS RT-AC86U is a good choice and supports RMerlin firmware and work really well when supported with the DrayTek 130 modem
For an Modem/Router combo, the only ASUS Router that is really suitable is the DSl-AC88U, but this has been plagued with buggy firmware for the last 18 months and firmware updates are not frequent, maybe worth looking at the AVM Fritz!Box 3490 or 7580 as both these units are very reliable. If you are looking at the AVM Fritz!Box’s make sure you compare the version suitable for the UK (International Version) due to language options.
