After few days of extensive exercise with dm200 he end up on ebay and is actually gone straight away (2h after been put on ebay). Couldn’t find vigor 165 even on website which had them in the past (don’t want to risk one annex b), thinking about vigor 2760 (non wifi version) as next patient 😝

February 2, 2020 at 5:09 pm #5918If you fancy a challenge and I have looked at this a little , the BT Smart Hub (Home Hub 6) has a Broadcom 63137 chipset (dual core 1GHz) but does not support Bridge mode, but the BT Business Smart Hub 6 does support Bridge Mode and is also 63137 Broadcom
It would be good if the BT Smart hub could support BT Business Hub 6 firmare for Bridge Mode?
When I did look last, HH6 as not supported by OPENWRT, but this may have changed

February 2, 2020 at 5:32 pm #5919I don’t mind challenge, but as you mentioned above HH6 got broadcom chipset which is no go for me. I definitely will stick with lantiq. I known vigor 2760 is quite old but is far better specs than my old eci, and it won’t cost me anything (dm200 will pay for it 😉).
With broadcom chipset I will get much more CRC errors where with lantiq chipset these are FEC errors which are corrected (on booth downstream and upstream) so never happened.

I used to have a DrayTek 2760N, shame I sold it as I could have posted it to you as a testing sample

February 2, 2020 at 6:10 pm #5921Did you have any issues with it? As far I remember you using v130 where I believe v2760 got better specs? The v2760 can be use in bridge mode as well.

February 2, 2020 at 6:17 pm #5923According to this pdf, bridge mode is supported – Vigor2760
The 2760 I had as good, but UI was non user friendly and being a gamer, features such as UPnP did not work sufficiently for multiple Xbox 1, but that as many years ago.
Cheap on Ebay so worth a try

February 4, 2020 at 12:54 pm #5927Don’t see reason why shouldn’t. These are not limited to business users only. I’m suprised that bt equipment is still available (especially brand new) on ebay, maybe business customers are on different agreements? I read on other forum that last December bt changed they contracts that equipment is on lease to customer, once they don’t provide service anymore they request to return equipment, if you don’t, bt will charge you for it.

February 4, 2020 at 2:14 pm #5928I bid on one the other day, alas price went to high, I was also keen to understand if BT Business Smart Hub would work with Consumer grade line (account details) etc.
I understand the new Smart Hub 2 (released last year) support g.fast, but also unsure if this can be bridged ?
Alas with BT kit it is always shrouded with lack of details to the public

February 4, 2020 at 2:20 pm #5929Not sure about smart hub 2, but I read about business smart hub, and guy used on plusnet, apparently just need to be reset to factory default, once powered type in details for your provider. Not sure if working on all uk providers.
