I have spoken with ASUS to understand if they (ASUS) have any plans to give the DSL-AC68U the option to operate as a Node AiMesh option, currently it only support Aimesh as a Primary

Unfortunately it appears currently, ASUS have no plans to add the option to allow the DSL-AC68U to operate as an AiMesh Node

    Hope this helps clarify ?

I am afraid no plan to support DSL-AC68U configure as RE node at the moment.
