Manually updated to 3.0.0.4.388_24854 & all good.

I continue to run my XT8s in AP mesh mode behind a UniFi Cloud Gateway Fiber and the XT8s are still working so well that it’s hard to justify replacing them.

Great to know and absolutely, if its working well and suits your needs, keep going with you current setup

Only slight concern is at some point the XT8 will reach EoL, more of a challenge for early 2027

This exact issue bit me within a day of the Internet-wide DNSSEC root key rollover, which occurred on October 11. The temporary fix was to disable DNSSEC on the router, but if this firmware update is solid I will re-enable DNSSEC.

Anxiously awaiting to hear how this update goes for others.

Credit to Asus, they’ve dropped 3 updates this year for the almost 7 year old ZenWiFi XT8 system and although I’ve had mine in AP mode behind a newer router, first Mikrotik & then Unifi, for the past few years, the wifi and wireless backhaul are still rock solid.
