Looks like BT are finally offering Broadband only deals (no number)
Service: If you don’t use your landline phone, Broadband only lets you have the broadband you want without the landline you don’t. However, you won’t be able to make or receive any incoming calls on your landline phone. This includes calls to the emergency services.

DrayTeK have produced some interesting documentation around the end of Analogue Phone Lines and the Analogue phone service for the UK.
Good to see an external vendor/supplier (DrayTeK) investing time into this area for the UK.
(whether it actually happens within that timescale is another story)
