    Hey guy’s does anyone know if the connection setup is the same ? Am changing providers next week to cuckoo internet and am wondering if anyone has set up a connection ? Cheers Kris.

    Cuckoo is not owned by Sky so settings will be slightly different and easier to configure.

    Fern Trading’s UK Fibre Networks Start Shifting ISP Customers to Cuckoo

     

    I will assume you are just looking for router settings and the below should work for any third party router.

    Connection details

    Connection Type: 1Gb/s Ethernet WAN connection to the ONT/Modem (CAT5e/6 cable required)
    Authentication Type: PPPoE
    PPPoE Encryption: PAP [sometimes not needed]
    PPPoE service name: [leave blank]
    PPPoE username: get by emailing ISP
    PPPoE password: get by emailing ISP
    MTU 1500 Bytes: [sometimes not needed] (although you may need 1492 Bytes.)

    Connections installed prior to 1/11/22 VLAN ID: 911. All other services VLAN is untagged / not applicable.

    Hey cheers pal… yeah Asus xt8s on merlin firmware 3.0.0.04388.5.0on the main even though sure this is a update just working brilliantly so I haven’t changed it and 3.0.0.0.388_23285 Which is the standand firmware isn’t for mesh.
