We’re currently trialling Cloudflare security protection on the forum due to increasing levels of spam bot traffic and automated attacks placing unnecessary load on the server.

There are no security or privacy implications for normal users. In some cases, you may briefly see a Cloudflare verification prompt or loading screen while Cloudflare automatically checks and filters suspicious traffic in the background.

If you experience any problems or have any concerns while this is being trialled, please do let me know and feedback as always most welcomed, especially if the prompts become annoying.

    Good luck!
Its a shame that such steps are necessary today.

Sadly it’s becoming a necessity these days with the amount of automated spam and bot traffic around now. Hopefully this should help keep things running smoothly while staying mostly invisible to genuine users.

I’m quite sure you’ll get it done.

PS: Forum ist much much slower today, have to wait 20s for showing the page after clicking “edit” or go back an forth.

PPS: Now 10:40am quick again and very responsive, but first time after page refresh I got an error-page, now ok again.

And again an error. Seams it needs some time to settle down, tomorrow we will know more if errors are gone.

Web server is returning an unknown error Error code 520

    Visit cloudflare.com for more information.

Thank you @Grusi – I did make a small change this morning to the settings, let me know how this progresses over the next couple of days especially with forum speed and Error code 520.
