So we have just purchased our latest Dyson family member (Dyson Small Ball Allergy) upright vacuum cleaner as our DC40 has seen better days (PCB board).
So far must say, the Dyson Small Ball is so much quieter than the DC40 and both Dyson Small Ball and DC40 are comparable in size

Alas the attachments from the Dyson DC44 do not fit the Dyson Small Ball Allergy vacuum cleaner (but have seen adapters on Ebay) to suit

Dyson is well known outside UK too.

FYI – Dyson Small Ball will be the last corded vacuum cleaner model Dyson will sell, they are using cordless (batteries) for all future model releases .

Bad idea in my opinion, but then they will definitely sell more as they wont last as long.

I agree, affordable and good battery technology is not there yet
Hopefully Sir James Dyson has something good planned for batteries ?
