The Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) is the EU’s first comprehensive law mandating cybersecurity standards for all products with digital elements (PDEs)—including Wi-Fi routers, smart home hubs, and IoT devices.

• Adopted: November 2024
• In force: December 2024
• Key enforcement dates:
  • June 11, 2026: EU member states must appoint conformity assessment bodies
  • December 11, 2027: Full compliance required for most products.
