Due to a high-volume automated spam campaign targeting UKTechHub.com, new topic and post submissions are temporarily disabled while we deploy enhanced spam mitigation measures. Thank you for your patience.
You can still login in and browse the Forums, it is just the creation of new Topics and Replies that have been disabled for now.

July 17, 2025 at 7:58 pm #38784Additional back-end controls have been applied and I have now re-enabled new Topics and Replies creation.
I will monitor this over the next few days to see if these new controls are working sufficiently and not causing any other (non-related) issues, such as stopping new Forum members joining our community, slow forum response time etc…..

July 18, 2025 at 7:04 pm #38790Thanks, is it just spam messages being posted or do we know if any info has been obtained like login info etc?

July 18, 2025 at 7:41 pm #38791Fortunately just an aggressive spam campaign but still very distributive, it does seem as though the new measures I have put in at the back end are paying dividends thus far.

August 19, 2025 at 7:38 pm #39292Hi,
Visited site this evening and got a brief message about anti crawl protection before then loading the page, it was only a few seconds so I cannot recall all of the message. I presume this is something you have on the site to protect against unwanted spam posts etc?
Thanks
Kev

August 19, 2025 at 8:02 pm #39294Hi and yes, hopefully the message you received was ‘Anti-Crawler Protection is checking your browser and IP‘
It is a feature I am testing that is an Anti-Crawler Protection / Bot Wall which adds a 3 second delay to help stop those pesky spammers
