Whenever I read reviews of washing machines in the UK, I always notice John Lewis washers rate well for both Reliability, quality of wash and value and of course John Lewis customer service is first class.
So after a little Googling, it appears the John Lewis washers are actual made by the Electrolux Group (AEG, Anova, Frigidaire, Westinghouse and Zanussi) at the Zannusi factory in Europe.

I also read that on certain models, when you compare certain John Lewis Washing machine brands against equivalent Electrolux models (they look similar) the John Lewis brands can have extra wash options and at a better price

Same like VW, Skoda and Seat.
But always good to know for spare parts, replacements or service repair manuals.

Yes. lots of bigger companies making other smaller companies better, Electrolux models are a good brand also I believe

Yes indeed they are, but most times bigger companies buy smaller ones to eliminate their better technology and ensure themselves future dominance with bader products.
