I am looking at moving (offloading) some of my sites DNS and other services to Cloudfare over time in an attempt to help users and forum members outsider the UK receive a better server response time and page load speed improvements.
Early days yet and resetting my DNS Nameservers and UKTechhub may not be reacheable at some point.
Edit: had to revert back some of the changes as I had lost access to emails, but will try again over weekend when I have more time.

July 31, 2024 at 9:06 am #32967July 31, 2024 at 1:00 pm #32968Thank you, the Cloudflare migration I had hoped was going to be seamless including email DNS etc, but as soon as I noticed the email clitch I stopped migration.
I will have a look at the Cloudflare MX record setting as this does sound like a likely extra step I need to perform

@kev2021 – thanks for good advise above, I did indeed have to add a domain root and MX record to enable emails from my external mail server.UKTechHub is now using Cloudlflare DNS and CDN (Content Delivery Network) so hopefully over time when I have tweaked a few more settings, the page load speed will increase for forum members outside the UK.
No bugs as yet I have noticed using Cloudflare, but early days ….
Another drink I owe you as well as others

August 19, 2024 at 12:26 pm #33148The transition to Cloudflare for DNS and Some CDN services completed over the weekend, from my perspective being based in the UK, I only notice minor improvements in page load speeds etc. as the UKTechHub.com server is also based in the UK.
When I set-up a VPN to Austria / Japan, this is when I notice the greatest improvements using site measuring tools such as GTMetrix.
Hopefully for others website page load speeds have improved marginally and until I am prepared to invest more heavily in dedicated Servers. which for now I am not, then UKTechHub is limited in performance.

August 19, 2024 at 3:03 pm #33153Yes indeed, much better now and no problems anymore (like before your changes in the last months).
Only long time after pressing submit, but everything else ok, no jumps while scrolling during page builds up.

August 21, 2024 at 8:30 pm #33165August 21, 2024 at 8:50 pm #33166What length of time are page loads approximately and is that via mobile or PC ?
Edit, I ran a couple of page load and new post test this morning and all seemed normal.
Page loads (logged in) ‘typically’ take between 1 – 2s and new post take 4s.
I will monitor this over the next few days (morning and evenings) to see if the issue is Hosting company and busy Network / Load balances their end, I am having thousands of visits per day, so could be usage / capacity issue and forum member @Grisu commented upon this also the other week.
Such fun
