First versions has been sold in 7590 housing and modified 7590 housing with more cooling slots.

Later it will be in similarly but larger ones, first already have been seen in wildlife.

If you need a stable modem you will have to wait some months for firmware to consolidate.

And DSL-sync is noticable lower compared to 7590, dont know whether it only needs to be optimized by firmware or HW-related.

Right now you will be an early adopter, so be aware of that!

Any idea what the DSL chipset is for the new Fritz!box 7590AX ?

What I have found an Intel/MaxLinear VRX619, the successor of VRX-518 you will find in 7590.

I also found that it uses a GRX550 – I think I will drop AVM an email of inquiry, just to clarify on both CPU’sΒ

So I have had feedback from an AVM supplier and they have said theΒ  fritzbox 7590AX uses the following chipsets:

    Main CPU – Β GRX550

    VDSL Chipset – VRX619

Update: finally had a positive response from AVM support after a few emails as they where reluctant to give me any information, but they did confirm the Fritz!Box 7590 AX uses an Lantiq (now Intel) chipset ;)

Depends on your provider how TV is supported to your line.

When I want to use TV from my operator it is done only with a special config, which is automatically downloaded to router via ACS (provider server for configuring modems through TR-069).
To do so I need to set factory defaults and it will connect to the server after line-sync and change config.
Otherwise I can manually configure internet-access, but cant configure separate VLAN ID and some other stuff (I even dont know whatever) to modem on my own.
Here in Austria even telephony via operator needs to be set by provider config as it is not running through IP datastream but in different priorized VLAN.
If I port my fixed net telephone number to an alternativ provider there wont be a problem to set up manually, as it will use ordiniary inband VoIP connection.

As I dont use IPTV I prefer manual config. Sorry that I cant help any more with your IPTV, dont know how it is done in UK or especially with your IPTV provider.

IPTV can be tricky with Fritz!box, can I ask, what ISP are you with now and which IPTV services have you lost access to ?

Do you have a media receiver (set-top box) ?

Take a look at below link from AVM if you are using the set-top-box option.
