Recently had to change our Renault Kadjar passenger side front fog light bulb, so thought I would create a simple guide as no Youtube videos existed for the Renault Kadjar, but a few for the Nissan Qashqai which is similar in design (shared components) etc.

Our Renault Kadjar uses a 35w H8 bulb for its front fog light.

Side view of Renault Kadjar front Fog Light bulb connector.

I turned the steering wheel so that the passenger side (NSF) front wheel was pointing inwards, I then removed the 2x T20 Torx screws which allows the wheel arch liner to be moved slightly to gain access to the fog light housing assembly.

A single T20 bolt underneath the Renault Kadjar wheel arch needs to be removed (Red Arrow) to allow the wheel arch liner to move more freely.

I did view on a couple of clips online for the Nissan Qashqai which suggested 2x T20 Torx screws (Green Arrows) need to be removed, but I didn’t.

Then with a flat blade screwdriver or plastic trim removal tool, gentle separated the side of the wheel arch liner and created just enough of a gap to gain access to the fog light housing.

The fog light bulb can be removed by gentle rotating it anti-clockwise which will release it from the fog light housing, then a simple case of removing the bulb form its connector and replacing with the new 35w H8 bulb.

Picture of Renault Kadjar wheel arch liner with 2x fixing plugs which can be removed to allow more access to fog light housing  (below)

Note: I did replace the original 35w H8 bulb as it did seem to emit a strong blue shade of light, which is questionable from a Road legal perspective and looked inappropriate for a Renault Kadjar,  so I swapped it for a more acceptable white/yellow light option.

Nice pair of steps in the garage I see :)

Now I know where to come when I need bulbs changing, albeit on a Ford :)
