Hi all,
I’ve just got a double wall socket with a USB-C port on it (5v/3amp) it says (I’m in UK btw). I’ve noticed a lot of USB-C to USB-C cables are now 20V/5Amp. If i bought the newer 20v/5amp cable and plugged it into the 5v/3amp wall socket and then into my phone, would it be ok and just charge at a slower rate that the cable is capable of or will it blow the socket by trying to pull 20v/5amps?
Thanks
Kev

Does the wall socket have any other type ports, as often with the cheaper sockets, 3 amps etc. will be the total to all USB ports (shared)
In your case, the USB cable is just like a pipe, so will allow whatever is required by the phone or what can be given by the usb-c wall socket port (whichever is the least)
MK Wall sockets are really good (if that helps)

I think yours is – 1 x Type A and 1 Type C USB ports – 3A total shared output
Either way – cable is good and no chance of it drawing to much current
