After years of user frustration, Windows 11 is finally restoring one of the most requested features since its 2021 launch: the ability to move and resize the taskbar.
When Microsoft introduced Windows 11, it redesigned the taskbar with a modern look — but removed several long-standing customisation options. Users could no longer move the taskbar to the top or sides of the screen, nor adjust its size as they could in previous versions like Windows 10. For many, this felt like a step backwards.
Microsoft is now reportedly working on bringing that flexibility back. Upcoming updates are expected to reintroduce taskbar repositioning and potentially resizing, restoring functionality that power users and multi-monitor setups rely on.
