I just upgrades my Fritz!Box3490 to Firmware 7.01 and noticed under DSL Information > DSL there is a very handy little row that tells you how far you are way from you local DSLAM/Cabinet in Metres
Mine is 440 Metres, time to get out the tape measure ;)
