Win11 22H2 update infos for unsupported HW:
Update to Win11 22H2 still working on all machines with inplace upgrade (on running Win11 with setup.exe from iso-file)!
It doesn’t come automatically on unsupported HW with update process, but can easily be done with new downloaded iso from MS downloadtool.
a)
If only CPU is not compatible (like i-7700k) or you got only TPM1.2Â you have to add an registry key, restart computer (maybe not neccessary) and run setup from original 22H2 iso:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\Setup\MoSetup]
“AllowUpgradesWithUnsupportedTPMOrCPU”=dword:00000001
Or copy these 2 lines in a new text-file, rename it to something.reg and run it.
b)
If more things are incompatible you have to delete (or rename with .bak) appraiserres.dll and create new text-file which you name appraiserres.dll instead.
Then run setup (no registry things at all) WITH updates activated and have fun with Win11 22H2!
Even working on very old Dual-Core and MBR disk on logical partition which has been sold with WinXP.
