I’ve not checked RAM usage and didn’t really check before, so wouldn’t know if there was a big discrepancy – but I have experienced a few occasions now where I’ve been told that I’ve gone offline (for a period of 20-30 seconds). I have fibre broadband which has always been rock solid, but it could be the ISP end I suppose.

What is definitely the router though is that I’ve had to hard reboot the main router (using power switch) as my mobile devices have suddenly been unable to connect, and when they did it was at a vastly reduced signal strength (suggesting I was connecting to the mesh node). Next time I’ll test that theory by walking nearer to the mesh to see if the signal improves.

If so, that would imply an issue with 5GHz-1 only, as the backhaul must be working to let me connect to the mesh node and get connectivity. Ethernet from the main router was fine.

Upon rebooting, everything returns to normal.

I will keep an eye on this, but it has happened on earlier firmware – so it’s more a case of hoping this remains a very rare occurrence.

Perhaps this is RAM related?!
