Just looking at the drives… it seems I have the below:-

Volume 1 RAID 5 consists of:-

WD40EFRX

Volume 2 RAID 5 consists of:

WD40EFZX and 1 WD40EFRX

 

So now I’m wondering… do I buy a WD40EFZX drive, pull out the WD40EFRX from Volume 2, put the new drive in place of that making Volume 2 all WD40EFzx drives and then once that volume has rebuilt, remove the drive reporting a issue and replace with the WD40EFRX making volume 1 all the same models too?

 

bit more work and probably best part of a week to do as it will take probably 2 days or so to do the rebuild…
