Cross Cut shredders are a must as a minimum nowadays in my view and anything really important, like driving licence, old credit cards and passport stuff I tend to burn.
For more general shredding like bills and bank statements etc. a good Mini Cut shredder is ideal.
I think Cross Cut shredder around P3 is good as a start guide, but a Mini Cut shredder of P4 is ideal, like all things, if you have lots of shredding, then a P3 will shred quicker and take more pages than the equivalent priced P4 shredder.
Ours is P3 and does the job and was cheap .
Note: there maybe others that think P3 is not required or to high for domestic / SOHO shredding, but with all the dumpster divers out there, you can never be to careful and I am also very slightly paranoid ![]()
