HI,

I’ve just msged them asked to go ahead and move to the tariff so will wait and see what I need to do, if anything.

The other big plus for me is that both my gas & elec will end at the same time so I’ll then be able to look at options for both in one go.

I used to do this before and it worked out cheaper for me to have different suppliers but due to changes in energy market now with a lot of the smaller companies having folded, i suspect I will end up on a dual fuel tariff in a years time, either with existing supplier or someone else.

So fsr existing one not been too bad, had some niggles in the beginning and was hard to get hold of last year when trying to get them to switch me but in the end it worked out and bonus was they effectively gave me the exit fee so you could argue its costing me nothing to get out of the fix :)

For some reason, I’ve noticed on my account they are requesting meter readings but this includes the Elec which is a smart meter so not sure why that’s suddenly not sending readings back.

Meter is approx 5 or 6 years old and i thought the batteries in them lasted 10 years? Although being this is elec, I’d expect it to run from mains power, unlike the Gas smart meters which operate via a battery, hence why I’ve not switched that one yet.

I’ll deal with that after the tariff change :)

I’ve had my elec with them for a while so they know my typical usage so not expecting them to suddenly over estimate my usage.

Kev
