I’ve had 2 Diesel cars MY 2012 & 2016, think both maybe eligible to claim but I never have, I’m not sure you would get much out of it tbh.
Not to mention your probably need to provide them with personal info regarding yourself & the car purchase etc plus if you chose to buy the car, why claim back?
