It’s outrageous they want more money to invest in sewage treatment when they’ve already had the money and spaffed it. They’ve given so much money out in dividends when there shouldn’t have been any profits to pay dividends on – it should have been invested back in all these years.
If ofwat doesn’t put a stop to it and tell them to pay for it themselves then we can see whose side they’re really on.
Southern water are absolute criminals. They dump out into my local river several times a week even on dry days where there’s been no rain. They have no shame it’s clearly cheaper for them to just dump the waste and pay the fines rather than treat it.
