This was my thoughts also, for slower (private) forums (not UKTechHub) the ‘Reply by Email option’ maybe of benefit, but for forums like mine, this would mean forum members do not visit site directly which could effect revenue generation (ads), visitor statistics and searches so impacting Google Ranking etc.
