take a cheap small external 5V USB-fan and mount it on the back of the router blowing air out (to get less dust inside).

It will go down 20°C and more which has often been seen for similar models.
This will save your internal components from fast aging and stop overheating issues.
Wifi and CPU may have same heatsink or Wifi is badly positioned.
Most Asus routers have Wifi chips below 60°C and CPU <70°C, some like RT-AC68U even seen upto 80 but only for CPU.
And all these temps are already very high compared to other manufacturers using same chips.
Because there is no internal fan everything inside will go much to hot and even if wifi and cpu may run that hot without demage all other components aging very fast especially caps.
