Always pro’s and con’s with this sort of change.

We last year had a new Gas Smart Meter, the GS-60B the second generation SMETS2 compliant gas meter. Install only took an hour and well worth the inconvenience. (work from home) that day and you can still take manual readings.

Note: Owner or somebody over the age of 18 years is required (I believe) to be present when Gas Meter engineer visits, to ensure gas flow to boiler is correct and run a few safety checks after work has been completed etc.
