I see , that firmware is a couple of years old.
My firmware is from ASUS DSL team and after you have download the ASUS DSL-N66U_v9.1.2.3_743-gf5b4545Â it is in a .zip format (compressed) so will need unzipping ?
The beta firmware generally work well and keeping the routers firmware upto date ensures the latest security fixes are applied
