It is a tricky dilemma, ASUS are operating on a large scale nowadays within the consumer router / gaming market sector, with loads of different models and product lines to maintain. Because of that, it feels like the focus is more on stability and broad compatibility, whereas brands like Ubiquiti and MikroTik seem more focused on advanced features and enthusiast users, network admins who want deeper control and platforms that evolve with more advanced features over time.

But yes, It would be nice if a major player such as ASUS introduced more new features fr all there models.

FWIW: I’d encouraged ASUS for years to implement CAKE SQM QoS as standard in ASUSWRT, but sadly it never really came to anything, thank goodness for ASUSWRT-Merlin.
