I believe you are correct, the DSL-N16 is a budget modem / router combo and so does not have the same features as say the DSL-AC68U etc.

No work around (IPTV) as far as I am aware, I assume you have the option for IGMP Proxy , maybe try that but I think that will not work ?

As you are using Ethernet mode, maybe an option to purchase RT type ASUS router (non modem) as this will work well especially for streaming and gaming
