Looks like apple are dropping the ios 18, 19 etc and moving to adding the year to the end of everything be it ios26, ipados26, macos26 etc:

Interesting, will be more interesting when in the year the new iOS’s are released as Apple typically releases new versions iOS in mid-to-late September and given iOS 2026 will be released towards the end of 2026. it almost makes iOS 2026 almost 2027
