Hi all,
Anyone familiar with MS Azure? I’ve been speaking to some people and I’ve been told it seems if wanted to do more MECM stuff, it maybe short lived as it may be going away and to perhaps look at more MS Azure, cloud things.
So i been looking but there seems to be lots of MS Azure fundamental courses and I’m not too sure what they all are i.e. data science, data ai, etc anyone familiar with all the different paths/avenues and what’s the best one to get into?
I’ve never done anything with cloud so this is all totally new hence I thought do a fundamental course but it seems event hat has different ones but not been able to find something to say these are the different paths, this is what they involve and this is type jobs etc you do at the end to get an idea of which one I’d want to go for?
Thinking about doing a course to learn it and see where that can take me as unfortunately it seems my time doing SCCM/MECM has been probably wasted as that would explain why no MS exam in it now.
Thanks
Kev

April 12, 2024 at 5:50 pm #31884I’m not sure, maybe but i got the feeling it may go altogether but not sure what else would do it/replace it. I did read somewhere ages ago that MS were looking to drop it but at the last minute they produced another version of it.

April 12, 2024 at 7:35 pm #31885I am not familiar with Azure, but isn’t Intune is a part of the Azure portal ?

April 13, 2024 at 8:26 am #31887Not familiar myself yet but i know inTune is part of MECM console, if you add it/configure it etc as you can connect it to cloud etc but I’ve never looked at that side due to cloud costs money to have etc

April 13, 2024 at 2:17 pm #31901I did read that by 2026 Microsoft’s Azure cloud infrastructure could be the industry leader and overtake AWS, so definitely and great option to jump onboard early (ish).
Alas Cloud AZURE stuff is not something I am over familiar with. So hopefully others can advise
