Hi,
So I’ve tried on and off to access the site but it never let me click any links or login…
Today I realised if I turn off the Brave Shield (next to address bar) then it all works.. I’ve now turned back on and so far working but I’ve not quit and re-loaded.
Any ideas why this would be? Any setting i need to ensure is enabled/disabled?
Thanks
Kev

April 23, 2026 at 8:27 pm #42473Interesting, I usually test the forum with Safari, Chrome, Edge and Firefox when I make changes, I have not tried the Brave browser and will download later tonight and give it a test drive

April 23, 2026 at 8:33 pm #42475Thanks, and there was me thinking you used Brave browser lol
I did delete cookies & cached images and closed reloaded but no joy, I then turned off the shield and site worked, I now turned it back on and still working but I’ve not closed browser and re-loaded yet.

April 23, 2026 at 8:34 pm #42476Just closed and reopened it (not restarted PC) and still working so very odd…. not sure what was happening but every link didn’t work, mouse didn’t even recognise the links i.e. to items on the right or login or the menu items at the top

April 24, 2026 at 9:07 am #42482So had fun playing with the BRAVE browser yesterday evening and yes it was causing the issue you kindly reported.
Brave has a built‑in feature that blocks cookie pop‑ups and tracking cookies automatically (SHIELDS), which in-turn blocked the cookie banner and some of the links on the page didn’t respond.
I’ve now turned off the “cookie wall” option on my end, so Brave shouldn’t break anything now. Everything should work normally for you again.
If you ever want to change your cookie settings, you can still do that through the Cookie Policy link in the footer, that page has all the cookie options.
Brave as far as I know is the only browser that does this out of the box. Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari, etc. all show the banner normally unless the user installs an extension.
Hope this helps and thanks for pointing this out to myself as I’m sure other forum members and visitors may have had this issue also using the BRAVE browser.

April 24, 2026 at 12:59 pm #42485@Grisu – apologies, you should not be having repeat cookie banner notifications and I did re-enable cache this morning so hopefully just the new settings re-caching.
I will check this again this afternoon, just incase I missed something.

April 24, 2026 at 6:58 pm #42569Give your computer a reboot and see if the option re-appears as I can see it from my end.

April 25, 2026 at 2:08 pm #42575Can you try when you have time with Edge or Chrome, just to eliminate if it is a profile or Brave issue ?

April 25, 2026 at 6:40 pm #42576Hi,
I’ve tried in edge, chrome, chrome incognito and braver and brave private browsing, none show the like options….
bit strange, I don’t think I’ve ever used to site in edge as its not a browser I typically use..
Other than usual win updates, not made any changes to pc.

@Grisu – has the Cookie banner appeared today for you or is it all now working correctly ?Also, can I ask, can you see the LIKE and DISLIKE button emoji at the bottom of every reply when you are logged in ?

April 26, 2026 at 8:46 am #42589Everything ok since then using Firefox and buttons working as expected (liked, disliked and removed like).
Kev should try it via phone or in other WLAN and different PC.
