Looks like the rumours around BT Openreach testing G.INP on Upstream DSL connections is correct for Huawei Cabs (Broadcom), for as long as I can remember I have only had G.INP on my downstream (receive) connection, but after a weekend of poor quality connections and dropouts, I plugged in my Fritz!Box 3490 for some troubleshooting only to find I have G.INP On in both directions

Would explain my problems this weekend as DSL line probable cannot handle G.Inp via DrayTek 130 modem (upstream)
Time to call BT to see if any errors are on line etc.
