We have many UK mobile based devices using Modems to establish ‘health check calls’ with an instation.
I understand these devices require the mobile carrier to allow CSD in order to establish these Modem to Modem connections.
Are these therefore different to standard voice calls, despite the modems using voice frequencies?
Also does anyone know the status of the main 4 UK mobile networks with regards to support for CSD now the 3G sunsetting is complete/almost complete.
Help much appreciated.

Welcome.
Both 2G and 3G support CSD but 4G will not.
From what I understand, 3G is being phased out quickly now but some providers have agreed to still support 2G until 2025 for such scenarios as yours using CSD Modems etc.
As you probable already know, O2 is the last UK Mobile provider to switch Off 3G in 2025, whilst Vodafone, EE and Three is End of 2024 if not already.
A CSD Emulation over 4G solution is an option but will require new modems, but this will save all the expense of redesigning the back end / interfaces etc.
Lots of different rumours circulating online, so it is tricky to be sure but hope this help.
